Trauma-Informed Practice

Every interaction is grounded in an understanding of how trauma, anxiety and ACEs affect a child's behaviour and learning.

Reintegration Support

Structured support to help children successfully return to mainstream school or transition to the next phase.

Relationship-Based

Building trusted, consistent relationships with key adults is central to everything we do.

Attendance & Engagement

Bespoke programmes for school avoiders and children with chronic attendance difficulties.

Transition Support

Carefully planned transitions to ensure every child feels safe and prepared for what comes next.

Our Approach

Why Small Groups Matter

For children with SEMH needs, the sheer size and pace of a mainstream classroom can be overwhelming. Large groups, high noise levels and competing demands can push a child's nervous system into survival mode — making learning virtually impossible.

Small groups of no more than six allow our staff to build genuine, trusted relationships with every child. When a child feels truly known and safe, their brain shifts from survival to learning mode.

Our small group model enables us to reduce demand, regulate the environment, and respond individually to each child's needs in real time — something that simply isn't possible in a class of 30.
